Why NexGen Oncology?

Because at NexGen Oncology, improving the care of our patients is our passion and...

Clinical Outcomes
Clinical outcomes, meaning the outcome of treatment for a medical problem, are the results of the care provided. Our outstanding team of six physicians carry with them many years of training and experience in general and specialized areas of oncology and hematology. It is because of these many years of experience and exceptional dedication that we have outstanding clinical outcomes. The American Cancer Society has released its 2006 report on cancer showing improved oncology clinical outcomes for the second consecutive year in a row. Striving toward improving and increasing these sucesses will always be our top priority.

Systems
NexGen Oncology was one of the original beta testing sites for the first electronic medical record system in oncology. Today, we are essentially paperless. Our electronic medical record system delivers information to our physicians anytime anywhere via the Internet. What this means for our patients is improved communication between all persons involved in patient care and heightened safety. This includes prompt availablity of laboratory testing, x-rays results, and communication between doctors. Additionally, we believe safety is an absolute essential. Our state of the art systems provide checks and balances to optimize safety in caring for our patients.

Research
We are devoted to supporting clinical research that will contribute to advancing the care of our patients. We have on-site clinical trials available with a specifically trained research staff, as well as access to additional trials at outside facilities through referral. This is just one additional way we support the ongoing improvement in oncology patient care with the purpose of improving patient outcomes.

Integrative Medicine
We are committed to assimilating complementary medical services such as yoga, meditation, and nutritional education to support the total care needs of our patients. These additional health and wellness measures have been shown to improve the well-being of oncology patients. We encourage and facilitate their incorporation into our patients care plan.

Personalized Service
Personalized medicine for patients has been a major advancement in the care of oncology patients. We understand the differences in patients, and the need to provide individualized care. Personalized care also extends into the customer service we provide - our dedicated team strives to provide the most comfortable, compassionate, and convenient environment possible. Just one example of the convenient care provided is our specialized infusion center. In the infusion center, our Registered Oncology Nurses administer infusion therapy/chemotherapy while patients are able to use personal TV headsets, use our wireless internet connection, read, or simply relax.

At NexGen Oncology, we will continue to lead innovation as we build the destination for the next generation of cancer care.
